A MAN has been charged with possession of weapons in Shirley.
Shirley West Midlands Police (@ShirleyWMP) tweeted he was arrested after a vehicle stopped on Marshall Lake Road was found to contain a number of dangerous weapons.
He was charged with possession of an offensive weapon (nunchucks) and two bladed articles.
The tweet said: “There is no excuse for carrying a knife like this and those found in possession, will be arrested and prosecuted.”
The man has been bailed and is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court.
