A NUMBER of organisations used Valentine’s Day to get some important messages across to their communities.
Groups have been using the ‘love’ theme to make people stop and think about aspects of their life.
- West Midlands Ambulance Service wished everyone a ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ and said, because the day was ‘all about the heart’, people should familiarise themselves with their CPR skills. WMAS also urged people to check out their #LittleLifesavers campaign which includes a video on how to do CPR.
- West Midlands Fire Service reminded people to ‘show the ones they loved a little extra care’ by testing their smoke alarms. It also coincided with the service’s #TestItTuesday where people should test their alarms every Tuesday.
- National Highways suggested people show some love to their cars by carrying out essential checks. Among the aspects to examine are tyre tread, tyre pressure, fuel, oil, screen was and lights. For more, people can visit: https://nationalhighways.co.uk/road-safety/how-to-check-your-vehicle/
