POLICE have released images of car parts found at the scene of a hit and run collision where a pedestrian was seriously injured.

A 65-year-old man suffered serious injuries following a collision with the car in Hall Green on the Stratford Road near to the junction of Highfield Road with Fox Hollies Road, on November 1, at around 8.45pm.

The driver failed to stop.

The victim has serious injuries and is currently being treated in hospital.

PC Mitch Darby, from the Central Motorway Policing Group road policing unit, said: “We are very keen to identify the vehicle involved which initially slowed down before speeding off again.

“It was last seen heading towards Birmingham on the Stratford Road.

“Witnesses have described the car as a blue Audi and from the debris left at the scene we have been able to identify it as being an Audi S3 from between 2014 – 2016.

“We believe the car would be missing the left (nearside) silver wing mirror casing and the front lower nearside part of the grille on the bumper. It would also have damage along the front wing and possible bonnet/windscreen damage.”

Anyone who has seen a car matching this description either prior to or following the collision should contact 101 email [email protected] or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
