Limited places left for Knowle Fun Run on Sunday

Sarah Mason 16th May, 2018

ENTRIES are closed for this year’s Knowle Fun Run but there are a few spaces remaining for those missed the deadline.

The annual calendar highlight takes place on Sunday, May 20 but anyone wanting to take part must fill out a form on the Knowle and Dorridge Lions website and take it along with them on the day.

Race organiser Richard Buckley said it is first come first served and there will be a premium price to pay – £20 for adults, £10 for Juniors and £5 for children runners.’

The Fun Run has made hundreds of thousands of pounds for local good causes over the years – and organisers are hoping this year’s event will see them collect funds for the chosen charities – Headway Birmingham and Solihull, the brain injuries charity and Breast Cancer Haven in Solihull as well as local causes.

This year’s event, which will see Solihull Mayor-elect Flo Nash get the runners underway and present the prizes.

There will be four Mini Runs for those under 9 starting at 11am, while the main Fun Run starts at noon at Arden Academy.
