Life's grand for Solihull residents after postcode lottery win

Solihull Editorial 31st Oct, 2020   0

TWO people in Solihull are celebrating today after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.

The Ulverley Court neighbours netted the windfall when B92 8BP was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery yesterday, Friday, October 30, 2020.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Jeff Brazier sent his well-wishes to the winners.

He said: “A big congratulations to our winners in Solihull! What a great way to end the week.

“I’m sure they’ll enjoy spending the cash and treat themselves to something special.”

A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted on behalf of Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) which has received more than £3.5 million in funding thanks to players.

RNIB is one of the UK’s leading sight loss charities and the largest community of blind and partially sighted people.

Its focus is on giving people the help, support and tools they need to realise their aspirations.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefited from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
