Life-sized lego caravan is set to appear at this year's Motorhome and Caravan Show

A WORLD-RECORD breaking life size lego caravan is to appear at this year’s Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC.

Popular stocking filler book The Guinness World Records features the lego caravan as the portable home constructed from a stunning 215,158 plastic bricks – while featuring electricity and running water.

The caravan has held top spot as the largest caravan made from plastic bricks for two years, measuring at 3.6metres long and 2.2metres tall.

Visitors to this year’s Caravan Show, which runs at the NEC from Tuesday (October 11) and Sunday (October 16), can take a closer look at the record breaker and check out the interior design which includes a fridge, bed and seating area.




The lego caravan joins nearly 400 exhibitors at the popular show which attracts motorhome enthusiasts from across the country.

In addition to all the latest product news, the show will also be attended by a number of well-known celebrity faces keen to share their love of the great outdoors.


This years’ line-up includes Olympic cyclist Sir Bradley Wiggins, along with television presenters George Clarke, Matt Allwright and Julia Bradbury.

John Lally, CEO of National Caravan Council Events, which organises the exhibition, said: “The caravan is an amazing tribute to the motorhome and caravanning industry.

“We’re delighted that it’s retained its Guinness World Record this year and will come to the Motorhome and Caravan Show 2016.

“The level of detail is incredible and we hope that it continues to help inspire young people to get involved and enjoy our industry.”
