SOLIHULL town centre is welcoming summer with open arms with the return of Costa del Solihull.

Touchwood Shopping Centre’s urban beach is giving people the chance to be transported to sunnier shores and soak up the rays.

The beach – complete with spades, buckets and deckchairs – will be in Theatre Square between July 15 and September 3 and is a great way to enjoy a relaxing summer holiday without the long journey.

Lucy Burnett, marketing manager at Touchwood, said: “We are delighted to announce the return of our much-anticipated Costa del Solihull.

“With a host of exciting beach side events for families to enjoy throughout the summer, we encourage guests of all ages to pop along to Theatre Square for some fun in the sun they won’t want to miss.”

Costa del Solihull will be hosting a series of pop-up activities throughout the summer for all ages to enjoy.

Kicking off the programme is Meet the Dinosaur on Saturday, July 15 – and again on August 26. Dinosaur-lovers will travel back over 125 million years ago as the centre welcomes Tiny, a young dinosaur brought to life by modern science.

Titan the robot will make an appearance on Saturday, July 29 – inviting guests to come along and meet him as he showcases his ‘impressive’ moves.

Topping off the line up is All Shook Up. Fans of the rock and roll singer are in for a treat as Costa del Solihull is transformed into Blue Hawaii in an afternoon of musicals on August 12.
