THERE are just a few days remaining for people to sign up for the Knowle Fun Run.
The annual calendar highlight takes place on Sunday, May 21 – but anyone wanting to take part must be entered by Tuesday (May 16) to ensure they receive timing chips and running numbers in time.
The Fun Run has made hundreds of thousands of pounds for local good causes over the years – and organisers are hoping this year’s event will see them collect funds for the chosen charities – the Motor Neurone Disease Association, Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, Prostate Cancer UK as well as local causes.
This year’s event, which will see Dame Caroline Spelman get the runners underway and present the prizes.
There will be four Mini Runs for those under 9 starting at 11am, while the main Fun Run starts at noon.
