A KNOWLE go-kart racer has his foot on the gas as he continues to make his mark on the racing world.

Tom Justice has qualified for a spot at the inaugural Rotax Racing Club International Finals, to be held at Northampton’s Silverstone in May, where he will go up against some of the best karting talents from UK, the US, Canada, the UAE, Italy, China and Taiwan.

Tom spent his 2025 season competing in 2025 Club 100 Junior Super-Lightweight North Championship.

He entered the league a year early than most at 12 years old and was competing primarily against much more experienced 14 to 16 year old junior karters, who were all competing for a spot at the Rotax Racing Club International Finals.

But that didn’t put him off.

With races held at a number of venues across the North of England including PF International, in Brandon, Lincolnshire, and Whilton Mill in Daventry, Northamptonshire, Tom entered the last race round in October at Warden Law in Sunderland knowing finishing in the top 15 could secure him fifth in the championship and a spot at Silverstone.

The 13-year-old started the final in sixth place but after an an incident with another kart he dropped down to 24th position with eight minutes left of the race.

However Tom picked his way back through the pack back up to 14th to qualify fifth overall and secure his place on the grid for Silverstone.

Tom said: “2025 was a great year. I was really pleased to make the top five and qualify for the international finals at my first attempt, in a field of such a high quality and most with much more experience at this level than me.

“I’m really looking forward to 2026 now with full focus on the 2026 Junior Saloon Car Championship scholarship and taking my racing to the next level with any opportunities I get – it’s going to be lots of hard work but overall been preparing hard – so I’ll give it everything I’ve got and see where it takes me.”

Tom’s has yet to confirm his plans for the 2026 season apart from competing at the Rotax Racing Club International Finals.

His dad Kevin said there is possibility of Tom entering the Junior Saloon Car Championship in 2026 via a scholarship – where some of the best 14 to 17 year old motorsport talents in the country race Citroen Saxos on some of the iconic circuits in the UK including Silverstone and Brands Hatch.

Kevin added: “We’re so proud of Tom for his achievements last year at such a young age and can’t wait to see what he can do in 2026, wherever his racing journey takes him.

“We are looking for local, regional and national partners to join us on Tom’s journey so ask anyone to get in touch with me using the details provided if interested”
