THERE was double delight at Knowle Royal British Legion – not only has the club been handed a top award but it also marked its 90th anniversary.
The Warwick Road club was given the prestigious Ian Hamilton Trophy at the Royal British Legion National Conference held in Southport.
This award is based on the Club showing the most progressive record for comradeship and good management.
The Branch Chairman and Vice Chairman congratulated the Club on their fantastic achievement which coincides with the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion.
Club Chairman, Ken Mackay said: “This is a wonderful achievement for our Legion and is a triumph for working in partnership within the club, branch and women’s section.”
