Shaun Reynolds 21st Dec, 2015 Updated: 21st Oct, 2016

KNOWLE & Dorridge Rotary Club has collected over 2,000 tins at schools and houses to help provide hampers for charitable groups in the local area.

With help from local groups including the Scouts from Arden Academy, Knowle Primary Academy and St George Primary School, the tins will be distributed to ensure everyone has a memorable Christmas this festive season.

In previous years various trusts, food banks and community centres in Balsall Heath, Chelmsley Wood and Solihull have benefitted from the event.

President elect Colin Winstone said: “This is always a very successful event which contributes significantly to the enjoyment of Christmas.

“I would like to thank everyone who helped and contributed this year to ensure less fortunate families enjoy Christmas this year.”
