A KNOWLE clinic, and its patients, has raised more than £12,300 for The Myton Hospices.
Since 2017 Heath Lodge Clinic has raised the funds thanks to patients making voluntary donations in lieu of paying for a pain management procedure or diagnostic scan, reflecting the strong community commitment behind the fundraising.
Dr David Beale, consultant radiologist and founder of Heath Lodge Clinic, said: “We’re incredibly proud to support The Myton Hospices.
“The charity makes an invaluable difference to local families, and without it, people’s lives would look very different.
“Our patients and team alike have embraced this cause wholeheartedly, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their support. I have no doubt that together, we’ll not only meet, but exceed this next fundraising goal.”
And the MRI and pain management clinic has set its next fundraising target as £10,000.
Chris Willmott, Partnerships Manager at The Myton Hospices, said: “The Myton Hospices are eternally grateful for the ongoing generosity of everyone associated with Heath Lodge Clinic.
“We have never needed their support more than we do in these difficult times and to have loyal supporters like Heath Lodge, who continue to fundraise for us year after year, is a real blessing.
“Since our relationship began in 2017, an amazing £12,332 has been donated to Myton. That has enabled us to continue to provide our services, free of charge, to our terminally-ill patients, and also to provide support for their loved ones when they need us most.”
The Myton Hospices cares for people with terminal illness and their families.
The Coventry and Warwickshire hospice relies on the ongoing generosity of its local partners and community fundraising in order to continue offering these life-enhancing services.
Funds raised help support inpatient units, community nursing teams, and family support services, ensuring that care remains accessible and free-of-charge.
