Knowle Christmas Card shop opens its doors

Solihull Editorial 21st Oct, 2019   0

THE Midland Charities Association Christmas card shop in Knowle Library has opened its doors.

Now in its 25th year, the shop supports more than 20 human relief charities.

This year there will be a new card depicting Knowle High Street at Christmas painted by local artist Mike Humphreys.

The card was commissioned by the Knowle Society in aid of the new Chemotherapy Day Unit at Solihull Hospital.

The shop has a number of new charities this year including Acorns Children’s Hospice, Multiple Sclerosis, Royal Star and Garter Care Home and Warwickshire Vision Support.

There are also advent calendars, wrapping paper and gift bags alongside gifts and stocking fillers.

The shop, which is staffed by a team of volunteers, raised almost £12,000 last year thanks to the support of its ‘many loyal customers’.

The shop will be open until Thursday, December 12 during normal library hours:

Monday, Tuesday and Friday – 10am to 5pm, Thursday – 10am to 6pm and Saturday – 10am to 3pm.
