SWIFT action by officers in in Shirley has seen a man charged and a knife seized.
West Midlands Police said it was alerted to reports of a weapon being seen as bikes were ridden on Stratford Road at just before 4pm on Saturday (February 14).
The force said one rider attempted to leave and collided with a stationary vehicle before being detained by officers. On making searches a knife and a quantity of cannabis were recovered.
Leo Eggington, aged 18, has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon, possessing Class B drugs and criminal damage.
He is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on March 18.
