A MAJOR recruitment drive has been launched by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust.
The organisation is offering 50 per cent off its membership for people signing up before the end of January 2022.
The trust says climate change is driving the decline of British wildlife with the UK is now cited as one of the most nature depleted countries on the planet, with one in 10 species threatened with extinction.
Since 1970, the UK has lost about half of our wildlife.
The trust meanwhile is working hard creating and enhancing habitats, planting new woodlands, working with local farmers to create wildflower meadows, and running targeted conservation programmes to help save water voles, hazel dormice, hedgehogs and other wildlife.
Funds from membership helps it to buy and care for nature reserves in Warwickshire and to inspire the next generation of wildlife conservationists.
Being a member also brings free entrance to mroe than 2000 nature reserves nationwide.
