MERIDEN MP Caroline Spelman was joined by the Secretary of State for Health Jeremy Hunt at the site of the new Craig Croft Medical Centre in Chelmsley Wood.
The Health Secretary toured the construction site and was shown how quickly the foundations have been laid.
Mr Hunt then spoke to local doctors and medical staff about the future of healthcare in North Solihull – which includes Craig Croft which will offer ‘first-rate’ medical facilities and quicker access to GPs.
Conservative MP Mrs Spelman said: “I am delighted that Jeremy Hunt was able to see the progression in North Solihull; it is not only the healthcare facilities that are being developed, but the whole area is being given a new lease of life.
“This new medical centre will be at the centre of an area undergoing a remarkable transformation, making access to GPs quicker and offering more extensive health services.”
