BOOKWORMS and fashionistas can travel back in time on Sunday (May 7) as Fashion and War from classic novellist Jane Austen are set to come to life.
To celebrate the bicentenary of Jane Austen author Sarah Jane Downing draws upon her works Fashion in the Time of Jane Austen and Beauty and Cosmetics between 1550 and 1950 at the Lord Leycester Hospital in Warwick.
From 3pm until 5.30pm Sarah Jane will examine the relationships between military uniform and fashion, beauty and literature through the prism through the Pride and Prejudice author’s works.
Tickets cost £12 each and include afternoon tea with handmade scones and cakes.
