JAGUAR Land Rover is to build a limited edition coupé version of its iconic Range Rover – and it will be made in Coventry.
No more than 999 Range Rover SV Coupés will be made at JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations facility in Ryton-on-Dunsmore.
Demand is set to be high globally for the hand-assembled vehicle but the Coventry car maker has said it will be a strictly limited edition production run.
Land Rover has released a teaser image of the new Range Rover SV Coupé, which will be unveiled to the world fully at the Geneva International Motor Show on March 6.
The vehicle has been created to pay homage to the original Range Rover in what is Land Rover’s 70th anniversary year.
John Edwards, Land Rover’s special operations managing director, said: “In launching the new Range Rover SV Coupé, we will offer clients an alluring combination of peerless luxury and rarity.
“Unveiling this special vehicle at Geneva International Motor Show in March, during Land Rover’s 70th Anniversary year, will be a defining moment for Land Rover, the Range Rover portfolio and Special Vehicle Operations.”
