THE Rainbow Alliance Kingshurst received a generous donation from Jack’s supermarket to help with their work in the local community.

The Alliance features a group of volunteers who have been feeding people in need by collecting donations, preparing meal packages and delivering to those in need.

The charity received a food donation from Jack’s Supermarket, on Timberley Lane, consisting of longlife essentials such as pasta, tinned food, biscuits, festive mince pies and much more.

Joanne Cole from The Rainbow Alliance Kingshurst, said: “Thank you from The Rainbow Alliance Kingshurst for the kind donation that was delivered to families who are very grateful for the support during such difficult times.”

Laura Cerrone, store manager of the branch of Jack’s said: “The Rainbow Alliance Kingshurst is a wonderful organisation and everyone at Jack’s is very proud to support their efforts.

“We would also like to encourage any organisation or group who are in need of help to apply for our grant scheme via https://www.jacks-uk.com/jacks-supports.”

The Alliance wasn’t the only recipient of help from Jack’s.

The store also kindly donated a ‘feel good’ hamper to local care homes in Castle Bromwich ahead of the festive season.

Briarscroft Residential Care Home had their hamper delivered on Monday, December 14, filled with mince pies, biscuits, chocolates, Christmas puddings, and other festive treats for the residents to enjoy.

Laura said: “Here at Jack’s we are keen to continue building strong relationships with the community.

“We have donated to care homes, schools, nurseries, and hospitals to help out members of our community in any way we can.

“We hope the local care homes enjoyed their festive hamper in the run up to Christmas.”
