HE MADE it through to the Masterchef final – and was narrowly pipped to the post by winner Ping Wan.
But Dorridge’s Jack Lucas is surely looking forward to a bright future in a kitchen of his choice thanks to his stunning creations on the competition – creations that earned him the highest praise from the best chef in the world.
Ferran Adria – the man who reinvented cooking and created nearly all of the modern techniques used in modern dishes – said Jack’s cooking on the Barcelona leg of the BBC show was stunning and at the standard served in a 2* Michelin restaurant.
Jack, 22, is currently on a gap year travelling the world with girlfriend Abi Murcott.
But he sent out a thank you to everyone who has supported him via his Facebook and Twitter
“Massive thank you to everyone for the support recently.
“It means so much and have loved all of your messages to wake up to in the morning – sorry if I haven’t replied to them all.
Was always going to take a miracle to beat those two but I’m just glad I lasted so long.
