AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a teenager was stabbed in a Chlemlsey Wood park.
West Midlands Police said it was called to Meriden Park at around 5.40pm after reports of a group of youths fighting on Sunday (August 31).
A 14-year-old boy was found with stab injuries and taken to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life threatening.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident to get in touch.
Detective Inspector Mark Heard from Solihull Police said: “We know there were lots of people around at the time and I would urge them to come forward if they saw anything that might help our investigation.
“We will have officers in the area today and into this evening carrying out reassurance patrols. If you have any concerns, please do speak to them.”
