TRAGIC former Arden School pupil Syed Ahmed Shah died following multiple injuries in a car accident – an inquest revealed.

The 20-year-old from Knowle died when his Renault Clio was involved in a collision with another car that was travelling in the opposite direction on Eastcote Lane in Hampton-in Arden on January 13.

Following his death Syed’s family paid tribute to ‘a loving son, brother and friend to many.’

They added: “He was always full of life and brought joy and happiness to everyone around him.

“He was the kindest and most sincere young man.

“He will be missed by all. At this time we request that you allow us to grieve in private and to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.”

Syed was a former pupil at Arden School in Knowle between 2008 and 2014.

The school has also paid tribute to him and has flown its flags at half mast in his memory at the time of his death.

Principal Martin Murphy said: “We were very sorry to hear about the tragic death of Syed Ahmed Shah.

“Syed was a polite and personable young man who will be remembered fondly by those that taught him and his many friends at school.

“I know you will join me in extending our heartfelt sympathy to Ahmed’s family.

“Every student contributes in no small measure to the community we create together at Arden and the loss of any student, particularly in such tragic circumstances, is always a deeply saddening time.”

Tributes also flooded in on social media, describing badminton-loving Syed as a lovely lad, who was always happy and so nice to talk to.

“He was such a lovely lad – what a tragic loss,” read one tribute, while another simply said: “My heart is broken, may God bless him with heaven.”
