HYMNS filled the air at The Sixth Form College’s Christmas concert.
A range of festive tunes, from ‘Winter Wonderland’ and ‘Do you hear what I hear?’ to ‘Once in Royal David’s City’, were performed by the College choir made up of staff and students.
String and flute groups also performed a variety of festive and classical pieces, while the jazz band performed a rendition of a student composition.
Music teacher Chris Phelps said: “The Christmas concert is a highlight of the college calendar and it was a great way to end a hectic Autumn term.
“I congratulate all the students who took part. It’s a daunting thing to perform in public, but everyone who came really enjoyed it and the experience will stand the students in good stead for their assessed performances later in the year.”
The next music concert will be the College’s Easter concert on Wednesday, April 5 at 7pm, for which tickets will be available after the February half-term.
