HUNDREDS lined the streets in Shirley to pay their respects to the fallen on Remembrance Sunday (November 11).
The two-minute silence was led by the Shirley Band longest serving member, Robin Mills, aged 74, from who played the Last Post.
The town’s annual Remembrance service and parade took place at St James Church on Church Road.
The parade was led by Shirley Pipe Band from the Royal British Legion Club, down the main A34, to the church before wreaths were laid at the newly-renovated memorial in the grounds of the church.
