FINAL PREPARATIONS are underway for the first ever village fayre in Hockley Heath on Sunday (July 1).
The event is being organised by Hockley Heath Residents’ Association, at the park on Old Warwick Road from noon until 4pm.
There will be plenty on offer including live music, displays of spinners and weavers, fair ground rides, and the return of the Hockley Heath dog show.
Hockley Heath Gardening Club will be hosting a tallest sunflower competition, and have distributed sunflower seeds to every child at Hockley Heath Academy for them to grow before the event – however any green-fingered resident can take part.
Residents’ Association Chair Jennie Lunt said: “The village bonfire is well established and really well attended.
“We wanted to organise an event for the summer to provide another opportunity for villagers to come together and have a good time.”
