THE FIRST new vintage and antique fair in Shirley has been branded a ‘resounding success’ by organisers.

The Cranmore Park Vintage and Antiques Fair saw more than 1,000 lovers of vintage, antique and retro goods flock to the Cranmore Park Exhibition Centre in Shirley on Saturday, April 2.

Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Glenis Slater officially opened the event, while singing group Vintage Class entertained punters with performances of classic songs from the 1940s and 1950s.

Organiser Helen Martin, director at B2B events, said: “We are incredibly delighted with how the first Cranmore Park Vintage & Antiques Fair went.

“We had a constant flow of visitors throughout the day and a fantastic group of exhibitors.

“Buyers could take their pick from jewellery, vintage clothing, vinyl, quality antiques, ceramics, retro furniture and much more.”

The Cranmore Park Vintage & Antiques Fair will return to the venue on Saturday, July 9 from 10am.

Pre-purchase tickets are available online at www.tickettext.co.uk, though tickets are also available on the door.
