High stepping Solihull dancer raises £500 for Children in Need

A SOLIHULL dancer reached for the stars as she raised money in aid of Children in Need.

Danni Cash, artistic director and choreographer of Dc2 Entertainment and Dance Company, performed on stilts for two-hours

along Ralph Road and Stratford Road in Shirley and finished with a fire show while hosting a Facebook Live on Friday (November 13).

Danni set out to raised £400 for the national charity and so far she has raised £552.

She said the stilt walking was hard work as it was quite cold but she had a great time.

Danni said: “Covid-19 has affected so many people and I just wanted to do something positive during this difficult time.

“Children in Need is such a worthy cause as it helps children and young people right across the UK and everyone deserves a good start in life.

“Also, being at home at the moment isn’t much fun for people, particularly now it is dark so early and as the saying goes the show must go on, so why not bring a live performance to make people smile while helping a good cause.”
