SILHILLIANS can get help with housework shopping and meal preparation.
Age UK Solihull offers Home Support Service to help older Solihull residents to live independently and safely in their own homes.
As people age, everyday tasks such as housework, meal preparation, and shopping can become more challenging.
Age UK Solihull’s Home Support Service provides a solution by offering professional, tailored support to help older adults maintain their independence and quality of life.
The service does not offer personal care or help with medication, but it covers a wide range of tasks, including housework and laundry, shopping (with or on behalf of the client), meal preparation or cooking, assistance with paying bills, companionship and befriending and respite for family carers
Home Support service manager, Siobhan Deery, said: “Our Home Support Service is all about supporting people to live independently and safely at home.
“We understand that aging can present challenges, and our goal is to ensure that our clients continue to enjoy a high quality of life, with the right support in place.
“Whether it’s helping with household chores or providing a bit of respite for a carer, our service is completely tailored to meet the individual needs of each person.
“We are here to help people live confidently and with dignity in their own homes for as long as possible.”
The cost for the Home Support Service is £27 per hour.
