Have your say on Solihull's new walking and cycling strategy

Solihull Editorial 13th Dec, 2020   0

TIME is running out for residents to have their say on Solihull’s new Cycling and Walking Strategy.

Solihull Council launched a six-week consultation on the emerging Cycling and Walking Strategy last month with a series of online webinars for people to get involved.

The current consultation period comes to an end on Monday, December 21, but there are still opportunities to take part with a further webinar planned for Tuesday, December 15.

Two well attended live webinar sessions have already taken place, involving a short presentation from Council officers working on the strategy and a lively question and answer session.

Topics covered in the discussion at the last webinar included the importance of secure cycle storage, getting ‘buy-in’ from businesses across the borough and how to build a greater understanding between cyclists and road users.

The Council is encouraging residents keen to have their say or just find out more to join one of the two upcoming sessions.

People can sign up to the next webinar by visiting Solihull Council’s website.
