THE Observer-supported Harry’z Young Starz Awards is at its half-way point this month.
So far three devoted youngsters have been handed the Selfless, Young Carer and Community Awards.
On each occasion Harry’s mum and founder of Help Harry Help Others, Georgie Moseley along with a member from sponsors Hogarths Hotel have surprised the winners when they least expected it.
And now the final call is being put out by the charity to nominate that best friend who has been there through the good times and the bad for the Best Friend Award.
The Award is to recognise someone who has demonstrated that they are the ‘ultimate’ best friend through acts of kindeness, support and guidance.
There are four more awards to be decided before one lucky winner will be handed the prestigious overall Harry’z Young Star Award.
Nominations for the Bravery, Charity, Act of Kindness and Personal Improvement Awards are open and The Observer will look at each category in more detail as the deadline for each gets closer.
Nominees must be under the age of 18, be able to demonstrate how they have gone above and beyond and be available to attend an awards dinner in December.
The deadline is July 31 – any applications received after this date for the Best Friend Award will not be considered.
