THE Observer-supported Harry’z Young Starz Awards is past its half-way point this month.
So far four devoted youngsters have been handed the Selfless, Young Carer, Community and Best Friend Awards.
On each occasion Harry’s mum and founder of Help Harry Help Others, Georgie Moseley along with a member from sponsors Hogarths Hotel have surprised the winners when they least expected it.
And now the final call is being put out by the charity to nominate a person who faced a situation where they needed to be brave.
The Award will recognise someone who has been through a tough time, whether that be undergoing intensive hospital treatment or a dangerous situation and they showed bravery throughout.
There are three more awards to be decided before one lucky winner will be handed the prestigious overall Harry’z Young Star Award.
Nominations for the Charity, Act of Kindness and Personal Improvement Awards are open and The Observer will look at each category in more detail as the deadline for each gets closer.
Nominees must be under the age of 18, be able to demonstrate how they have gone above and beyond and be available to attend an awards dinner in December.
The deadline is August 31 – any applications received after this date for the Bravery Award will not be considered.
If you know someone who fits this category, or any of the others, nominate them by emailing [email protected] or call 0121 783 5407 to request an application form.
