Hand grenade found in Sheldon home and police cordon put in place

A HAND grenade has been found at a house in Sheldon and surrounding roads have been cordoned off by police.

Police were called to Cranes Park Road after it was discovered at 10am today (Monday, July 16).

Police remain at the scene investigating.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Police are currently at an address in Cranes Park Road, Sheldon, after what is believed to be a small hand grenade was found inside a house just after 10am this morning.




“A small cordon either side of and behind the property has been put in place while investigations continue.”
