A HALL Green man has been jailed after stealing an e-scooter.
Duane Thomas, of College Road, arranged to meet up with a seller of an e-scooter in August.
However, the 37-year-old tried to pay with counterfeit money, which prompted the seller to try and leave.
But West Midlands Police said Thomas was insistent and instead took the e-scooter and left.
Thomas was arrested from his home address the next day.
The force said officers recovered counterfeit money and a taser from Thomas’ home.
Thomas pleaded guilty to theft, possession of counterfeit money, possession of a disguised firearm, and possession of a firearm.
He was jailed for seven years at Birmingham Crown Court.
