FINAL REHEARSALS are under way for the Hall Green Choral Society spring concert.
The concert, being held at the Church of the Ascension on School Road in Hall Green, will feature Seasons in Colour by local composer Liz Winter, Look to the day by John Rutter and the French Easter carol Now the green blade rises.
From 7.30pm on Saturday (March 25) soprano soloist, Catherine Mason, will sing the Benedictus in Joseph Haydn’s Little Organ Mass and the final movement of John Rutter’s Requiem.
The concert is set to conclude with Catherine singing Wonderful, Wonderful Day a song from the American musical film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and the choir singing a couple of Broadway songs – The Avenue Q Theme and Always look on the bright side of life.
Clive Jones conducts with Darren Hogg accompanying on organ and piano.
