Solihull Editorial 22nd Mar, 2024   0

SPACES are still available for children to attend holiday hubs across the borough as part of Solihull Council’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.

With the Easter holiday fast approaching the council has issued a reminder to families to sign up to HAF sessions.

There are more than 30 clubs on offer free to children and parents/carers who are in receipt of benefits related free school meals.

Activities include computer and technology-based sessions, arts and crafts, cooking and swimming, plus a wide range of sports including dodgeball and darts or some more familiar such as tennis, football, hockey and netball.

Family activities are once again available at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre and North Solihull Sports Centre, with swimming, badminton and table tennis sessions, on various dates from March 23 to April 7.

Tennis and Active Antz soft play (under-5s) will also be running at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre.

Ice skating for both children and families, as well as learn to skate sessions are available at Planet Ice Solihull.

Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens is providing free family access to the gardens across the entire Easter holiday period for HAF families.

Solihull Council said there will be a meal also provided at no cost for children and for children and parents/carers for family activities.
