A GUN has been seized and two arrests made after a vehicle was stopped in Olton.
West Midlands Police said it received information that two men were armed with a gun in Gospel Lane on February 4.
Officers recovered a slam gun, along with 9mm ammunition and suspected class A drugs.
A 42-year-old man and an 18-year-old man were both arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
They were in custody at the time of publication as the investigation led by the force’s Major Crime Unit continued.
West Midlands Police said: “We’re continually working to take guns, and drugs, off the streets as we tackle organised crime as part of Operation Target.
“As well as pursuing offenders, Op Target is also about ensuring we do everything we can to prevent people becoming victims in the first place.
“This includes putting activity in place to disrupt organised crime and also through education.”
