A GREAT turkey giveaway is taking place in Chemsley Wood Shopping Centre this Saturday, December 11.
A joint venture between Push on Wellbeing CIC at Lily’s Tea Parlour and local resident Owen ‘Element OG’ together with Jacs Butchers in Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre, the aim is to give something back to the community and reinforce its togetherness.
“Last year we had the pandemic, which is still going on, but this year it’s nice for everyone to feel a bit more free and to get together and to actually enjoy Christmas,” said Owen ‘Element OG’ .
Together with Teresa Farrell from Lily’s Tea Parlour, they are giving away the turkeys for free from 12 midday to around 2pm, depending on how quickly they go.
Also there will be girl singing group Klaas to provide some music for people.
“It’s all about sharing the burden and building friendships,” said Owen ‘Element OG’.
