STUDENTS at Grace Academy are celebrating outstanding GCSE results.
The Academy has retained its place as one of the highest performing and most improved schools in the region for the third year running, with the average attainment improving across all subjects by half a grade.
An outstanding 81 per cent of students achieved the new Grades 4 to 9 in English – equivalent of A* to C – with 45 per cent achieving more than the expected progress in this key subject.
High performing subjects included biology and physics in which 100 per cent of students achieved A* to C with an impressive 36% achieving A* to A.
Many students went on to achieve outstanding individual results.
Year 11 student Hannah Carter, who achieved 9 A*s and As said: “I have never felt so happy in my life, all of my hard work has paid off.”
Principal Darren Gelder said: “In very uncertain times we have achieved outstanding results again that reflect the hard work of students and staff.
“We could not have achieved this without the continued support of parents and carers.”
