A TEAM of fitness fanatics at a Shirley insurance company got on their bike for charity.
The 20-strong team from A Plan Insurance took it in turns to hop onto a static bike set up in the office during the working day in aid of Mind UK as part of the company’s global giving month.
Morgan Moore, organiser and commercial executive at the Stratford Road branch, said they chose Mind UK as some people in the office have struggled with mental health issues since the Covid pandemic and they wanted to reflect on that.
She added: “It was nice that our company has allowed us to do something like this and the management were eager to get involved.
“Working in insurance we don’t get to set up a gym bike in the office everyday so it was something a bit different for us all to take part in.”
The branch has raised £138 so far, which includes the funds raised from a coronation dress up day where employees dressed up as British icons or something to do with the coronation.
