A SOLIHULL girl guide group is celebrating its 80th birthday with a coffee morning.

Solihull Widney Trefoil Guild was started 80 years ago by a  group of retired guiders it was initially know as “Old Solihull Guiders”.

They are part of the Girl Guide movement and still have challenges and awards to work towards and gain.

Dawn Shaw, from the group said: “Adventures are part of interesting and fulfilling programme.

“Friendship and fun comes with the enjoyment. We have days out, meals we share together, guest speakers and many other interesting activities.

“Our County offers us International opportunities of holidays to explore further afield.”

The coffee morning starts at 10am on November 4 at Solihull Widney Trefoil Guild at Guide HQ at Henwood House.
