A FOUR-YEAR-OLD was taken to hospital after being bitten by a dog in Shirley.

West Midlands Police said the girl was bitten in Sandy Hill Rise on Monday, August 8.

She was taken to hospital for checks for injuries which are not believed to be serious.

Specialist officers attended and spoke with the owner of the dog who is assisting with enquiries.
