FEET were tapping and hands were clapping as Shirley care home residents danced the afternoon away.
Residents at Fountains care home were treated to a Dementia Disco which saw residents, staff, families, and carers come together for an afternoon of music, dancing, and shared joy.
The atmosphere was lively, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and positive interactions throughout the day.
The disco highlighted how music can serve as a meaningful and therapeutic activity for those living with dementia helping to create connections, evoke cherished memories, and uplift spirits.
Zara Friend, general manager at Fountains, said: “It was a fantastic event, filled with enthusiasm. Our residents were so involved, their faces beaming with joy.
“We understand the importance of music and the powerful role it plays in unlocking memories and promoting wellbeing.”
