SOLIHULL Council is running two free marketplace events to help people plan and prepare for later life.
The drop in events will have around 20 information stalls where people can talk to local experts including Solihull Council, housing providers, Age UK Solihull, and Carers Trust Solihull.
Councillor Tony Dicicco, cabinet member for adult social care and health, said: “Everyone needs to plan and prepare for later life, no matter what our circumstances are now. But it’s a topic many of us ignore as we get older.
“These events are about helping people prevent difficult situations and decisions, or at the very least, be ready for them. I’d strongly encourage you to drop in during the day and find out what could help your own situation or how you could help your parents or older family members.
:Learn how to make your home more accessible, about different kinds of accommodation or what to do if you, or a loved one, needs care in the future.”
The events take place on Tuesday September 26 from 10am to 4pm, at Oliver Bird Hall and Thursday September 28 from 10am to 4pm at Three Trees Community Centre.
