THERE were smiles all round as much-needed funds were raised for Solihull Young Carers at a music event.
Overbury’s Fit Out Charity Music Night saw 250 guests dance the night away to hits performed by the company’s house band, Ohio, and 18 budding musicians from the property industry.
The event, which took place in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, raised £3,500.
The donation will help young carers to enjoy a positive childhood and support them through to adulthood.
Overbury’s company band, Ohio, was joined on stage by guitarists and vocalists from companies including Cundall, Fellows, RLB and MACE.
Gina Ward, team manager at Solihull Young Carers, said: “Thank you to the Overbury team for its ongoing support, not only in fundraising but in raising awareness of young people who are caring for loved ones in our community.
“Overbury is a great example of how businesses can support charities and have fun along the way.
“Funds raised will make a real difference to the lives of young carers, so thank you to everyone who donated and made the event possible.”
