BUDDING comedians are being invited to take part in a course at The Core this spring.
Couch to Comedy course will give attendees the chance to boost their confidence and find out how to get started as a performer.
This six week course, which runs from March 1 to April 6, will will take participants through creative ways of writing comedy material in different forms, practicing stage craft, acting out material.
The final session, on April 6, will see the participants get up on stage and perform a five-minute set to friends and family in The Studio.
Run by Rachel Sambrooks, writer and performer of stand up comedy, finalist in So You Think You Write Funny/Sitcom Trials, she also has been heard on BBC Radio and hosted her own podcast series Stand By Your Nan.
The course fee is £60 for the 6 weeks.
