Friendship group brings people together

Solihull Editorial 4th May, 2024   0

A FRIENDSHIP group says it will do all it can to help bring people seeking company together this spring.

Birmingham Oddfellows, a group of mostly older and retired members who meet up regularly is extending a welcome to anyone interested in getting to know new people.

They meet monthly in a number of areas across Birmingham including; Kings Heath, Solihull, Mere Green and Harborne.

Liz Blackhurst, district secretary at Birmingham Oddfellows, said: “There are lots of obstacles that can get in the way of making friends, particularly as we get older.

“Not knowing how to start or where to look is often the first and most difficult hurdle, so we want people to know that we’re here and will help to remove as many barriers as possible.”

Oddfellows members can attend as many groups, or events as they wish and have up to two free drinks a month in total, one drink at each event.

Guests are also allowed one complimentary drink at their first visit.
