SERVING military personnel, veterans and cadets can get free bus travel on Armed Forces Day (June 28).
National Express West Midlands is offering free travel on all services across the West Midlands and Coventry as part of its ongoing commitment to the Armed Forces community.
To benefit from free travel, military personnel, veterans and cadets should wear their uniform and present their military ID, veterans ID or military medal to the driver when boarding.
Antony Goozee, managing director of National Express West Midlands, said: “We’re proud to support the Armed Forces and deeply value the important role they play in protecting our country. Offering free bus travel on Armed Forces Day is our way of saying thank you to those who have served and continue to serve.
“We are also very proud to employ many veterans and current reservists across the business. At this time of year especially we want to recognise the significant contribution they make to our company and our communities.”
In 2012, National Express became the first public transport operator in the UK to sign up to the Armed Forces Covenant.
It is committed to supporting members of the Armed Forces with career opportunities, as well as travel discounts for serving personnel, veterans and their families across its bus and coach network through the Defence Discount Service.
