Four people have been arrested following an attempted burglary at a Hall Green home.

Police say they were called to a house on May 22 where people were allegedly trying to break-in.

West Midlands Police said damage was caused to a window before the suspects left the area and neighbours spotted them making off in a car.

Traffic officers traced the car and following a short pursuit the car came to a stop in Soho. Four people ran from the car but were detained on Foundry Road.

A man aged 33, two men aged 22 and a 17-year-old teenager were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

The 33-year-old man was further arrested for assaulting an emergency worker after a police officer was bitten.
