FOOTBALL matches and dance classes are set to be staged in Mell Square this weekend as part of the Nation’s Biggest Sports Day.
In a bid to inspire the nation to be more active the Solihull shopping centre is bringing its free kids club – Mini Mells – back on Saturday (August 24).
Mell Square has joined forces with The Bugs Group to host free fun and energetic fitness sessions.
The Bugs Group will be running a 45-minute football class at 12pm, followed by a 45-minute dance class at 1pm for those aged between three and 12.
All participants will receive a goodie bag, with 100 up for grabs on the day.
Lisa Applebee, bugs group general manager, said: “We are always keen to be involved in local community events and we are delighted to be involved in Mini Mells for a second year.
“With Footiebugs and Dancebugs both on the agenda, we’re sure these enjoyable and engaging classes will get children moving, and hopefully encourage them to take up exercise on a more frequent basis.”
The Nation’s Biggest Sports Day was created by a national campaign I am Team GB which aims to harness the power of the Olympics to make Britain more active.
