Fitness instructor calls Solihull women to join new menopause classes

Solihull Editorial 23rd Sep, 2023   0

INSPIRED by her own experiences a health and fitness instructor is calling on Solihull women experiencing menopause or perimenopause symptoms to join her.

Amanda Turner trained as a Menofit instructor last year while going through the menopause.

And now she is ready to welcome women to join her free holistic health and fitness programme at North Solihull Sports Centre, which is managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Solihull Borough Council.

Amanda said: “The programme offers women what they need to improve their fitness, manage their symptoms, change their diet and even improve sleep patterns.

“The sessions are really relaxed and informal and everyone will be made to feel welcome.”

MenoFit is a nationwide programme which focuses on addressing the substantial impact of menopause symptoms on women’s wellbeing and seeks to empower women to gain control over these challenges.

Amanda said: “Going through the menopause can be quite isolating and it’s lovely seeing women sharing their stories and experiences with one another.

“The symptoms of menopause are the major cause of anxiety for women, and although awareness is growing, the drive for them now is finding a way to empower themselves to take control of their symptoms.

“The sessions are having a really positive impact on the attendees.

“It’s a safe space where members can have open discussions about their experiences.”

Sessions take place on the last Friday of every month, at 10.15am.

Attendees can book on the Everyone Active app, on the Everyone Active website or by calling the centre on 0121 770 3822. Sessions are available to book one week before.
